Let's land on moon first

Let’s land on moon first and then we can think of Mars

Last night we had a meeting to discuss our next steps at Kadur(Chikmagaluru) land.

While we were discussing how many families we can actually accommodate at Kadur land, the ratio of angels:seekers: mountain movers, something interesting came up. It’s very important because the slot once allocated it’s a permanent space for a family. The emotions and attachment will be there in their private space as they start living.

I asked Mayank Ji, what should be the land-to-human ratio.

Mayank ji who joined our community recently. He has been mentoring me throughout my journey into self sustainability. He had travelled across India to awaken people to adopt natural living and dedicated his life to help people establish self sustainable communities. He runs an initiative called Free Earth Alliance.

He said it’s 1 acre for a family of 8. Then we deduced that it’s 1/2 Acer for a family of 4. He insisted that a family of 4 is only in urban areas. Most families whose livelihood depends on agriculture is at least 8.

Pondering πŸ€” on this now I feel agriculture is what kept the joint family culture intact in the old days because it needed more people. Farming brings families together. There can’t be any activity better than farming for people to bond together.

And now thanks to agriculture again, because of this Paripoornam πŸŒ•πŸͺ·β˜€οΈ is becoming another recreation of joint family.

Just that we are all brothers and sisters born to different mothers 😊.

It turns out we can accommodate max 10 families in the Angels and Seekers category.

I tried to convince my community members that we can take as many as possible and accommodate them in our new project but our community members are very clear that let’s land on the moon first and then think of Mars.

Happy Sunday πŸ˜„
