Our collective response to the misinformation circulated in various WhatsApp groups
On 1st September’25, we started receiving some notifications from the different Homeschoolers’ group admins saying that there is negative information being shared about Paripoornam. Please take a look at it. The following are the screenshots of the same

We took our time to analyse the details and tried to identify the source. With the help of a few well-wishers we were able to identify the source. Officially, the said family is still part of the Paripoornam community and not fully exited.
Following is our response to the misinformation that is being shared in different groups.
Comment : I want to alert you about a Scam community that is making rounds.
Paripoornam Response: Paripoornam is an honest and collective effort from all the families to build a self-sustained community centred around children’s holistic education. During the journey, we are bound to face many challenges, and misinformation is just one of them.
Comment: We are planning to take a legal action soon but thought would alert fellow homeschoolers like us, who are looking to be a part of sustainable communities. We were associated with it for close to 2 years and lost around 7 lakhs.
Paripoornam Response: The said family (complete) has visited the community only once (July’25) since joining. As they are still not fully exited, the exit procedure is not yet initiated. So the argument about losing 7 lakhs is not valid.
Comment: PARIPOORNAM presents itself as a self-sustainable living community inspired by holistic and natural living philosophies, founded by families interested in providing alternative education and eco-friendly lifestyles, IT IS ANYTHING BUT THAT.
6 families of the community have shifted from urban settings to old houses in the village, striving to live a self-sustainable life. We are taking baby steps to grow our vegetables and teaching life skills to our children. It is a process that takes time, patience and collective efforts from everyone in the community.
Comment: When we joined, Paripoornam claimed to welcome two member types: Mountain Movers (physical labor) and Angels (financial contributors not involved in manual work), both promised a voice in community decisions. One’s they received the funds, they shut the categories down saying, from now everyone is expected to be on ground. After collecting large funds from Angels, the founder quietly removed them from all decision-making, then ousted anyone who questioned missing funds or lack of progress.
Paripoornam Response: There were categorisations where Mountain Movers relocate early and set things up for the next set of families to shift, who could not come immediately. 90% of the Mountain Movers also contributed financially at different points in time. The families who contributed only financially but did not shift were categorised as Angels. Later in the community meeting, we all decided to remove this categorisation to make everyone feel equal.
All the financial records were available to anyone at any time, within the community, so there is no question about missing funds. With the limited available funds we had, we procured the construction materials, did cow management and paid for the farm help. Though we agree that due to a lack of experience in planning, the progress was not on par.
Comment: No promised gurukulam, no actual educational activities—children were neglected and only showcased for social media. Only time they do any activity is when they are being recorded for Insta posts.
Paripoornam Response: From the last 2 months following schedule has been followed for the school:-
- 09:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Circle Time
- 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Main Lesson
- 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Fruit Break
- 12:00 PM – 01:00 PM: Play Time
- 01:00 PM – 02:00 PM: Lunch Break
- 02:00 PM – 03:30 PM: Main Lesson
- 03:30 PM – 05:30 PM: Life Skills Activities and Play
Would families shift to villages and adopt minimalistic lifestyles, so that their children, along with parents, would be showcased in the social media posts? During a new family’s visit, they are free to ask children if they like the school, go through their notes, see the several paintings and articles they have made, have an open dialogue with parents and check if they are happy with their children’s progress.
Comment: When families requested accountability and return of lost savings, the founder refused, dismissed concerns, and expelled whistleblowers, branding them as greedy, acting like venture capitalists.
Paripoornam Response: Community is not about receiving services but about taking active participation in decision-making and executing on the ground. If something is not right, then each community member has to take responsibility to fix it and allocate sufficient time to have discussions. Everything can not be time-bound and discussed virtually on a virtual call. One person is not accountable for everything in the community.
As with any community, when different people with different personalities come together, arguments and differences in opinions are bound to happen, but no single person has the authority to expel anyone. Families come, choose to stay or exit at their will.
Comment: In the last 3 months alone, eight families have left, losing significant life savings, with no support or response from current members.
Paripoornam Response: When a new family joins, we take 2 lacs (whoever can pay) as a non-refundable amount to meet the community’s regular expenses like school materials, cow grazing, farming, etc. The rest of the contributed amount is returned on their exit, subject to the availability of funds or a new family replacing them.
In the last 0-3 months, only one family has left us. The family has not made any financial contribution because of their declared financial background. On the contrary, we have supported them financially from the community-generated funds.
In the 3-6 months timeframe, two families have left us. In that also one family did not contribute financially. Another family who paid 9 lacs decided to leave us because their parents were not aligned, and we respected that. As per the mutually agreed terms, we are supposed to return the refundable contribution only after the new family replaces them. But considering the financial distress expressed by the family, we compassionately returned more than 50% as of now. The remaining would be paid in due course.
We have always been available for any clarification, answers to any family who is part of the community or has left.
Comment: The community is operating in Negative now and is trying to bring more innocent families in and cheat them. In total , all the members kicked out together have lost around 20 lakhs… so, Pls be safe
Paripoornam Response: As this initiative is not for profit, we are working with limited funds to procure the land, run the school, meet monthly expenses, etc. New families are requested to join us as extended family (without or with very limited financial contribution) first and then, post experience, join us as co-owners of the land.
Comment: Do not join. Do not contribute. Paripoornam presents false promises, hides financial data, and abuses those who ask for transparency. Demand proof, demand accountability. Protect your family and savings—share this message.
Paripoornam Response: The success of initiatives like Paripoornam is only 5% and we are here to make it. Comments like above make us more strong and bring community members much closer. So, thanks for that.
Lastly we would just like to highlight that the local village is also supporting us wholeheartedly by offering us about 100-years-old home to run the Gurukulum till we have our classrooms ready, allowing our cows to graze with all other village cows and many other ways.
We would like to invite all readers of this blog to visit us and experience yourself.
